This is Lucia Richardson she is a young aspiring Yamaji Dancer in the Jambinu (Geraldton) region on Yamaji Barna (Midwest Country) with her mother I have had the privilege of practicing my photography with her during the last year.
Here's some words from her mother - "Hi, this is my 15-year-old daughter Lucia who is aiming to attend the National Training Project in Albury NSW this June. Over the years, our amazing Geraldton community has watched Lucia grow into a versatile athlete and mature performer. Lucia’s goal is to be accepted to study at the National Institute of Circus Arts at the end of 2024. The National Training Project will assist with Lucia’s skill development to ensure she is on track to achieving her goal. Living regionally means that our young people don’t always have access to these opportunities and we hope that with your support, together we can help this emerging star shine!"
