Tyrese plays in the Goldfields Football League and is of Maori Descent but like myself was born in Australia. His parents like my grandparents on my father's side are from Whangarei, New Zealand and if I had been able to investigate further it's very likely his grandparents and mine (RIP) would have known each other. For him Footy is a big part of his life at home and on the field and he was due to debut in the Western Australia Football League (WAFL) which is a Semi-Professional league and major achievement and a stepping stone for anyone with aspirations at playing in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Just like Dusty Martin it would be good to see Tyrese out on the field professionally representing our people.
We are all more connected to each other than we know.
