Reece photographed here is first to training always. I saw him hanging around while we got the event set up and ready to go for the Karratha Kats FC and went to have a yarn, every town I have visited now so far I have managed to find a social connection that you would never see at surface level. Reece's Yulboo (brother through lore ways) is my cousin and we had a good yarn about him. Reece shared with me how he came to training early every day because he absolutely loves footy and wanted to be selected for the Grand final team!
I've visited a lot of footy clubs on this tour and had a lot of conversations with people. Footy is such a uniting sport and valuable social tool to developing a strong community and people, each club and every story is so unique but the people dedicating their time and strength all have the same goal and that seems to be community building and playing footy.
Too many stories to tell I just need to start learning to write stuff down so I don't have to struggling when commuting them to memory.
