The First People Assembly of Victoria had their first sitting for the newly elected representatives of cultural groups in Victoria who will begin the negotiation of a statewide treaty for Victoria.

1 - State cultural groups representatives pose for a group photo in Legislative Council Chamber of Vic. 2 - Members of the First Peoples Assembly of Victoria gather in Parliament Gardens. 3 - A smoking ceremony is conducted in the gardens before moving into Parliament. 4 - Djirri Djirri Dancers perform a welcoming dance before the official proceedings are started. 5 - Wurundjeri Elder Perry Wandin opens with a welcome to country for the representatives. 6 - A traditional possum skin cloak woven together by Aunty Gina Bundle. It is enscribed with the hopes, aspirations and priorities for Treaty of Aboriginal people across Victoria from the beginning of the Treaty journey. 7 - A detail shot of the possum cloak with artefacts. 8 - Jordan Edwards - Wadawurrung representative poses for a portrait in the Legislative Council Chamber.
