On the 24th of November 10 lives were lost and 9 others injured in Urumqi Xinjiang, China.

The lives are said to have been lost due to strict covid rules still in place where people have been barricaded in their apartment buildings.

These deaths have led to what have been described as the largest National Protests in China since Tiananmen Square. Hopefully for the people involved the outcome isn't the same.

In a few of the photos you'll see a blank piece of paper being held up, this dates back to the Soviet era, at least as it was explained to me, as a form of silent protest that you may be held accountable for your words spoken or written but you can't be held accountable for blank sheet of paper that says nothing.

Here are some photos of tonight Vigil held on the steps of The State Library Of Victoria in Naarm-Melbounre, Aus.
