HMAS Stalwart visit and freedom of entry into Jambinu (Geraldton) on Yamaji Barna with welcome ot country performed by Dereck and a dance performance by the Wilunyu Dancers.

Pleasantly surprised about the amount of people who I had known on board this ship including 3 friends and a few others I had just met along the way. Most surprising to see again is the pair in the last photograph who I had never expected to see come up to me after the days, this brought back a wave of memories and funny stories from our time together on Warramunga and Sirius.

I think the most interesting part for me was the tour from the XO where I held back my criticism on a few remarks about "no mums onboard" when in the ships laundry and this made me think about my steward friends who I would walk past daily and see them cleaning the same showers and heads (toilets) belonging to the officer ranks. Also apparently the air-conditioning works a lot better on this ship than it does an Anzac Class Frigate, where when visiting the tropical regions of the word, the air-conditioning would fail to work and you would be stuck in a warm mess with 15 others not able to sleep under on you blankets for months and sweating in on to your sheets.

FTN lol

Oh btw because people seem surprised but I was in the Navy for 6.5 years.
