Anzac Day in Geraldton Western Australia

A few selects before I spend the rest of the afternoon with the AJ's at the army barracks.

ANZAC day means a lot of things to everyone. But for a few members of the Yamaji and Maori Community it's a day to honour our servicemen who at that time did not receive the honour they deserved. Today's procession was lead by Warren a indigenous Maori man of Aotearoa (New Zealand) and Veteran of the New Zealand Army.

Also In attendance also was 3 Yamaji men Uncle Graham, Uncle Allan and Budda William who at three separate decades decided they would join the Australian Military, collectively their time spanned from Vietnam thru to Afgahnistan.

I have my opinions on today acknowledging the good and the bad but acknowledgement goes both ways with respect.

Thanks again to the city of Geraldton for always inviting me to these important events for Yamaji's, Maoris and Wadjellas ❤️💛🖤
