I've been googling Mervyn Bishop a lot lately and always wondering what it was like for him to do what he did at the time he did. It's easy to get that shot nowadays I can hold my finger on the camera trigger and have 20 frames within one second now but back then to think you had one shot to get 'that' shot and you can't even tell how it will come out really amazes me! I would love the chance to sit down with that man one day and just know what it was like for him initially as a Cadet with the Sydney Morning Herald in those days.
Some more photos I got at the Garma Festival but this time I wanted to show some of the shots I got of the Prime Minister.
Frame number 9, I want you to pay particular attention to it because this was the moment that Mr Yunupingu pointed to Mr Albanese and said "Are you serious this time" Anthony replied with "Yes we are going to do it!"
I'm not good with understanding politics and the history but I did think about the amount of people in privileged positions who have said something to him or any Blak man and then never acted upon it.
