Protesters marched through Melbourne, passing key city landmarks such as Flinders Street Station, the Exhibition Centre, and Crown Casino in a demonstration primarily in support of Palestine and against the military industrial complex. The protest coincided with the Land Forces Convention happening in the city. Earlier in the day, Extinction Rebellion blocked roads in a separate demonstration. Families, activists, and community leaders waved Palestinian flags and chanted in solidarity. Tensions occasionally flared between protesters and Victoria Police, who maintained a heavy presence throughout the day. Drummers, speakers, and children participated in the march, as demonstrators called for justice and an end to the military industrial complex.
